It was a grande dream to finish our lower level. Austin Remodeling captured our ideas in a visual sense as well as verbal. We all worked the vision together. We wanted a space that we could be extremely happy in. A lower level to play in and entertain. The family now comes together instead of being on separate floors. We have an open door policy for our son and his friends. We urge the kids to gather in our home, enjoy the games and to watch movies and sporting events on the new theater system.

The Austin Remodeling designer had deep added value. Instead of the plain square drywall box around the heating ducts in the ceiling, curves were created and extended throughout the ceiling. This definitely added interest and created a feel of elegance. The dart board backing is a peg board material to protect the wall and a custom woodwork frame was built around the board to add a decorative flare. It’s just gorgeous!

Mike always said “if you’re not happy you have to tell me. I’ll fix it for you.” He was here working some late nights.

I give Austin Remodeling an A+ and we wouldn’t use anyone else!

We had a dream and this is exactly what we wanted: a family area where the kids can play that has character and detail and something that is unique. The designer definitely understood our vision. It has given us more space in the house where we spend a lot of time together watching television or playing games at the table. My 9 year old son will be able to come down here with his friends and have a space where they can enjoy being kids.

I was so concerned about lighting. I thought the basement would be too dark. Mike recommended more lighting. Recessed lighting was added in the ceiling and I wanted a couple of sconces. Mike added twice as many and they are beautiful!

Flexibility. It was nice to know that we could still switch something in the middle of the project. Like the metal post on the staircase. My husband and I changed our minds so many times but the project manager keep it straight and knew what our final decision was. They listened to what we wanted.

Everything was done very PROFESSIONALLY and on schedule. Always asked how early they could come and even asked to work for a short time on a Saturday.

I can tell that the level of service in which Mike provides to the customer is very important to him.
At one point, Mike came out and did the work himself.

We had such a good experience with Austin Remodeling when they installed our windows that we wanted to have Mike remodel the kitchen.

I wanted better use of space and to update the counters and to replace the old appliances. The Austin Remodeling Designer captured my vision, absolutely. In the whole island he was very cognate of the space and size and even created a cardboard sample of the island to make us understand the walkway and space between the island and the opposite counter.

The quality in product and service was just remarkable. For example when we needed only one new cabinet, a complete custom cabinet was designed and built to match the existing cupboards. You can’t even tell that it’s new and the rest are original. They matched it perfectly.

The kitchen is done and OHHHHH… We love to entertain! It’s fun to have friends over and yes, I love to show off our kitchen! The Island draws everyone in and the kids do their home work here. It’s true. the kitchen is the Heart of your Home!

The master bedroom needed help! We had no vision at all, but knew that the current floor plan did not work. There were two door openings into the bathroom, which was fun when my son was younger and I chased him in circles. But now he is grown and that game is over! I felt the designer was able to grasp our personalities and understand who we were and could feel what we would like.

In the end it was the designer’s plan all the way. He put himself into it and carried it through all the way.

It was just great to have the Austin Remodeling team respond quickly to emails and immediately return phone calls. Always keeping in touch. The communication was really good. When the project manager went on vacation Mike was able to pick-up and continue the job perfectly.
